Answer:

144

Explanation:

2 cups of flour will be mixed with 18 cups of sugar

you will find the number of cups of sugar required for 1 cup of flour

if 2 cups of flour-----18 cups of sugar

1 cup of flour-------x

cross multiply

2x=18

x=9

therefore 1 cup of flour will be mixed with 9 cups os sugar that is a ratio of 1:9

so for number of cups of sugar required for 16 cups of flour it will be

1 cup of flour --------9 cups of sugar

16 cup of flour -------x

cross multiply

x=9*16

x=144

therefore 16 cups of flour will require 144 cups of sugar

for the equivalent ratio 1 cup of flour --9 cups of sugar

2 cups of flour --18 cups of sugar

3 cups of flour -- 27 cups of sugar

so on till you get to

16 cups of flour ---144 cups of sugar
