Explanation:

a=9

b=6

1) a²+b²=9²+6²=81+36=117

2) (a-b)²=(9-6)²=3²=9

3) a²-b²=81-36=45

It’s also possible that a=6 and b=9, in which case

2) (same)

3) 36-81=-45
