note the expression inside the radical is a perfect square, that is

x² - 14x + 49 = (x - 7)², then


√(x^2-14x+49) = x - 7


√((x-7)^2) = x- 7, that is

x - 7 = x - 7

Since both sides are the same then any value of x will make the equation true.

The equation has infinite solutions
