Answer:

the equation of the line is,

y = -x + 9

Explanation:

let's take any two x, y co - ordinates from the given graph:

x1, y1 = 8, 1

x2, y2 = 4, 5

equation of the line is, y = mx + b

where slope, m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

= 5 - 1 / 4 - 8 = 4/-4 = -1

let's take x1, y1 as x, y co - ordinate to find the value of constant, b

1 = (-1)(8) + b

1 + 8 = b

b = 9

thus, the equation of the line is,

y = -x + 9
