So we can take two points on this function and see the difference of y divided by the difference of x.

(0, 4) and (-4, 2)

now
m = (y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))

so plug in points:


m = (2--4)/(-4-0) = (6)/(-4)=-(3)/(2)
