The formula for the area of the square is s*s or s^2

We can use this formula to find the sides of the square.

s^2=56

to get rid of the square, square root both sides of the equation

√(56)=s

simplify root of 56

56 is divisible by 4, a perfect square root

√(14*4)

2
√(14)

s=2
√(14)

the perimeter of a a square is 4s

4(2
√(14))

8
√(14)

the perimeter is 8
√(14)
