Hey y'all, I got my top braces on today and it hurts worse than the bottom did. I have to wear headgear unless i'm eating. One of the k-9 teeth is pushed up in my gum and the dentist doesn't want to pull it out.

any tips for pain of taking care of them?
side note: I had bottom braces for a year almost and 2 rotations of tooth/pallet expanders and they did not hurt that much.

I also have top braces I got them a month ago when I first got mine yes indeed it did hurt but after two days the pain will go away but you should eat foods like toast grits oatmeal eggs macaroni seafood like shrimp lobster. You should drink what you normally drink no soda and don't use whitener toothpaste for your teeth.

Hoped this helped!

Have a wonderful day-

Answer:

Well, for starters, it would be horrible for them to pull out a healthy canine tooth. When I started braces, I had top and bottom. My canine tooth was also farther up, but all I needed were rubber bands. The best thing you can do is take painkillers, use orajel, and eat soft foods like mashed potatoes or smoothies. Your bottom teeth hurt a little less than your top!
