The next step is the simplify the two factors (12 and -2) by the leading coefficient on the x^2 term of the parabola, which is 6. The bottom number of the simplified fractions gives you the coefficient of x for each factor, and the bottom number gives you the constant for each factor.

Once simplified

Factored form:
(2x^2 - 12x) + (2x+6)
