A tank is a cuboid measuring 50 cm by 35 cm by 20 cm

All lengths are to the nearest centimetre.
A container has a capacity of exactly 35 litres.
litre = 1000 cm³
By working out the lower and upper bounds for the capacity of the tank, state
clearly which one of the following statements you agree with
X The tank has the greater capacity
Y The container has the greater capacity
Z It isn't possible to tell which has the greater capacity
+
Your last line should say,
I agree with ...
where ... is X, Y or Z

Answer:

Given,

the dimension of tank = 50cm × 35cm × 20cm

capacity of container = 35 litres

to find = capacity of tank

then compare capacity of both of them

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of tank = length× breadth × height

length = 50 cm

breadth= 35 cm

height = 20 cm

volume = 50×35×20

volume of tank = 35000 cubic cm

capacity of tank = 35 liters

both the tank and the container have equal capacity.
