We know the area of a cirlce is

A=\pi\cdot r^2

This is because, in radians, the angle of a whole circle is

2\pi

In order to proceed, we'll use the formula

167\cdot(\pi)/(180)\approx2.9147

Using this new value, we can now compute the area of the shaded region using the formula

A=\alpha r^2
\text{Where }\alpha\text{ is the angle that generates the shaded region in radians}

In this case we have:

A=2.9147\cdot(17.8)^2=\text{ }923.493548

Round to the nearest tenth:

A=923.5yd^2
