M is the letter for slope and what you would do is on the numerator y2 - y1 or in other words -1 - -1 and the negatives would make it positive and then for the denominator x2 - x1 or 1 - -7 and then the negatives would make it positive and the you solve them and that’s your answer 0/8 or just 0
