  • Like terms are those which have the same base. For instance : 3y & 2y are like terms since they have same base i.e y


\underline{ \underline{ \text{Unlike \: terms}}} :

  • Unlike terms are those which have the different base. For instance : 5x & 2p are unlike terms since they have different base ( i.e 5x has the base 'x ' whereas 2p has the base ' p ' )
