Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

Midpoint of a line formula is:

(xm,ym) = ((x^1+x^2)/(2) ,(y^1+y^2)/(2))

So with (1,2) and (-5,-2) our x1 and x2 = 1 and -5; y1 and y2 = 2 and -2

Insert into the formula

m =
((1+(-5))/(2),(2+(-2))/(2) ) = (-2, 0)

Midpoint of the line segment between (1, 2) and (-5, -2) = (-2, 0)
