The two angles in the F are same side interior angles of a line passing through parallel lines, this means they add up to 180° degrees. Now that we know this we can add the two expretions and set them equal to 180. After solving the result is 21 for x

Because the two angles are opposite interior angles of a line passing through parallel lines they are the equal. You just set them equal and then solve, the result should be y=4
