Answer: y = 3x+3

Step-by-step explanation

The idea is to solve for y

3x - y = -3

-y = -3-3x

-y = -3x-3

y = (-3x-3)/(-1)

y = 3x+3

The equation is now in slope-intercept form y = mx+b

m = 3 = slope

b = 3 = y intercept

In this case, it is a coincidence the slope and y intercept are the same number. This won't always happen.

Extra info:

  • The line goes through (0,3) and (1,6)
  • The x intercept is located at (-1,0)
  • GeoGebra and Desmos are two graphing options I recommend to use for problems like this.
