Sally takes the same bus to work every morning. The amount of time (in minutes) that she has to wait for the bus can be modeled by a uniform distribution on the interval from 0 minutes to 10 minutes.

Draw a density curve to model the amount of time that Sally has to wait for the bus.

Answer: Either A or E (see explanation below)

Uniform distributions have a graph of a rectangle. This is because the height of any point on the distribution is the same (to indicate any portion has equal chance of happening). Another example of a uniform distribution would be a dice roll.

Since the graph is a rectangle, the answer is between choice A, B, or E.

The horizontal portions span from x = 0 to x = 10. This rules out choice B.

Choices A and E look identical, and represent the correct answer. It seems like your professor has made a typo somewhere.
