10. If ZCDE is a straight angle, DE bisects ZGDH, mZGDE = (8x-1), mZEDH = (6x + 15)", and m/CDF = 43°, find each measure.

x= 8

GDH= 126º

FDH= 243º

FDE= 72º

The equation to find x would be GDE=EDH--->8x-1=6x+15

First subtract 6x from both sides.

8x-1 -6x =6x+15 -6x

2x-1=15

Add 1 to both sides.

2x-1 +1 =15 +1

2x=16

Finally, Divide both sides by 2.

2x /2=16 /2

x=8

Now that you know x, plug that into each equation to find the measurements.

GDH

GDE*2 --> 2 (8[8]-1)

2(64-1)

2(63)

126º

FDH

180-EDH --> 180+(6[8]+15)

180+ (48+15)

180+63

243º

FDE

180-DCF-GDE --> 180-43-8(8)-1

180-43-63-1

72º

Need anything else ? :)
