Step one: You need to get rid of the fraction (so multiply 6 on both sides)
-the 6 cancels out on the right and the left the 6 turns into a -6
Step two: now you have -6=5+x subtract 5 from both sides
Step three: -11=x

The answer is -11

i hope this helped.
