l=2\text{ ft}

To find the volume of a cube, the formula is


V=l^3

Substitute for l into the formula above


\begin{gathered} V=l^3=2^3=8\text{ ft}^3 \\ V=8\text{ ft}^3 \end{gathered}

Hence, the volume of the box is 8 ft³
