\tan \theta=(Opposite)/(Adjacent)

In the given right triangle ABC,


\tan (A)=(BC)/(AC)


\tan (55^\circ)=(BC)/(AC)


\tan (55^\circ)=(15)/(AC)


AC=(15)/(\tan (55^\circ))

On further simplification, we get


AC=(15)/(1.428148)


AC=10.503113


AC\approx 10.5

The length of side AC is equal to 10.5 m .

Therefore, the correct option is A.
