this one is an oldie but a goodie. imagine that a single bacterium is placed in a sterile container at 12:00 pm. (imagine that the sterile container allows nutrients to flow in and wastes to flow out.) imagine that this bacterium doubles every minute such that at 1:00 pm the container is completely full of bacteria. when was the container half-full?
