Question five is x > 6. To get rid of the fraction you multiply by two to cancel it out and you have to multiply the four and and seven by two as well. Leaves you with 14 < x + 8. Now you subtract 8 on both sides which leaves you with 6 < x but if your graphing it you want to make sure the variable is first to you switch it which results with x > 6

For question 7, it is x greater than it equal to -3. First, your subtract 8 on both sides which leaves you with -12 less than/equal to 4x. Now you divide by four on both sides which leaves you with -3 less than/equal to x. To graph it, you need to flip it which leaves with with x greater than/equal to -3

Answer:

5. Open circle on 6 arrow towards 10

7. Closed circle -3 arrow towards 0

Explanation:

5. subtract4 from both side

3< x/2 then multiply by 2 on both sides

6<x and cuz it’s just a < it’s an open circle

7. Subtract the 8 from both sides

-12<4x then divide by 4 on both sides

-3<x and cuz = or < then it’s a closed circle
