We have divided the figure into 3 parts i.e. ; 2 rectangles and 1 triangle...

\boxed{ \red { \mathfrak{Area\: of\: figure =l * b + l * b + (1)/(2) * b * h}}}

We have the dimensions:

  • l = 8 ft
  • b = 7 ft
  • l = 6 ft
  • b = 2 ft
  • h = 1 ft
  • b = 2 ft

\blue{ \sf{Area\: of\: figure = 8 * 7 + 6 * 2 + (1)/(2) * 2 * 1 }}

\blue{ \sf{Area\: of\: figure =56 + 12 + (1)/( \cancel2) * \cancel 2 }}

\blue{ \sf{Area\: of\: figure =56 + 12 + 1}}

\blue{ \sf{Area\: of\: figure =69 \: {ft}^(2) }}

Hence, Option B is correct!!
