First you have to add 31 and 40=71
Then you do 180-71=109
X=180-(31+40)

Answer:

x = 180 - 31 + 40

Explanation:

bc one straight line is 180° so to find x you must add the numbers given which in this case are 40° and 31° and subtract 180°

x = 180°- 31° + 40°

= 180°- 71°

= 109°

so the value of x is 109°
