The base length of the cross section of triangular prism is 8 cm

To find the base length of the given triangular prism

Given the volume of the prism = 312
cm^(2)

Height = 6 cm

Base = x

Length = 13 cm

Volume of triangular prism = Base area * Length

Base area = 1/2 * base * height

Base area = 1/2 * x * 6

Base area = 6x/2

Base area = 3x

So Volume, 312 = 3x * 13

312 = 39x

x = 312/39

x = 8

Therefore, the base length of the cross section of triangular prism is 8 cm
