To find:-

  • The roots of the equation,
    x^2 + 25 = 0

Answer:-

We are here given that,

\implies x^2 + 25 = 0

Subtract 25 from both sides,

\implies x^2 = 0 - 25

\implies x^2 = -25

Take square root on both sides ,

\implies x =√(-25)

\implies x =√( 5^2 (-1) )

\implies x =√(5^2) √(-1)

\implies x = \pm 5√(-1)

\implies x = \pm 5i

Seperate the two roots ,

\implies \underline{\underline{ x = +5i \ , \ -5i }}

Hence the roots of the given equation are 5i and -5i .

and we are done!
