x=1/3 and y=-2/3

Explanation:

3x-6y=5....eqn 1

2x+y=0... eqn2

rearrange eqn2

y=-2x... eqn3

put eqn3 into eqn1

3x-6(-2x)=5

3x+12x=5

15x=5

divide both sides by 15

x=5/15

x=1/3

substitute x in eqn2

2(1/3)+y=0

2/3 +y=0

y=-2/3

so,x=1/3 and y=-2/3

to check whether our answer is correct ☑️

insert the Value of x and y in eqn1

3x-6y=?

3(1/3)-6(-2/3)

1+4=5

so our solving is correct ☑️
