the width of the blanket is 4 ft

it is given that length is 3 times of width so the length is 3 * 4 = 12 ft

part b)

so the blanket is rectangular.

the perimeter of the blanket is

2(4+12) = 32

area of the blanket is

length x width

12 x 4 = 48 square ft
