Answer:

The nth term is 4n+2

Explanation:

Formula:

term to term difference x n +/- term before first term

The term to term difference = +4

so 4n

Next, find the term before the first term

the first term in the sequence is 6, in order to find the term before 6 you must inverse the term to term difference

+4 becomes -4

6 - 4 = 2

In this sequence, the term before the first term (6) is +2

add the term before the first term to the term to term difference

4n + 2

(I tried to make the working as simple as possible, if this method is confusing for you there are easier methods you can use, but I prefer to use this method as it is faster)
