We know that

Area of trapezoid = 1/2*height*(side1+Side2)

so we have area=21cm^2

side1=5cm

side2=9cm

height= x let.

Now substituting value in formula'

Area of trapezoid = 1/2*height*(side1+Side2)

21=1/2*height*(5+9)

21=1/2*height*14

21=7*height

dividing both side by 7

height=21/7=3

height=3cm
