Read the excerpt from "Rain Forest Doctor.”

We pushed the gurney as fast as we could through the halls of the hospital. After the rich greens of the jungle, the hospital walls were as white as fresh snow. We got Hector into a room and hooked up to several machines. Another doctor took over. I headed to the cafeteria, feeling relieved.

Which phrase from the excerpt is an example of figurative language?

through the halls
greens of the jungle
white as fresh snow
into a room

The answer is: White as fresh snow

Step-by-step explanation:

White as fresh snow is a simile which is a type of figurative language.

• What is a simile?

It’s a figure of speech involving comparing two things using the words such as, “like” or “as”.

White as fresh snow is comparing the hospital walls to fresh white snow using the word “as”. Hence why that is the correct answer.

Hope this helps! :D Correct me in anyway if I’m wrong on anything

and P.S the guy that answered “greens of the jungle” is incorrect! I hope you didn’t put that as an answer!
