Answer - solution is ( 2, -7 )

Step by step

Using elimination method

2x + y = -3
3x -y = 13

We can add the equations and eliminate the +y and -y

5x = 10
Divide both sides by 5 to solve for x

5/5 x = 10/5
Simplify

x = 2

Now substitute the value of x into the first equation and solve for y

2(2) + y = -3
Multiply

4 + y = -3
Subtract 4 from both sides to solve for y

4 - 4 + y = -3 - 4
Simplify

y = -7

Your solution is ( 2, -7)
