as we easily see the curve goes through the x-axis (y = 0, that's what is called a "zero") between x = -2 and x = -1.

13. B

a relative minimum is where the curve changes it general tendency coming from above and turns around going back up. no other point in the near neighborhood has a smaller y-value.

14. A

the y-value at x = 1 is about 4.5.

the graph is not symmetric about a line like x = 1, as it did not long look the same left and right of that line.

but if you rotate the graph around (1, 4.5) by 180°, you get the same graph again.

so, it is symmetric about the point (1, 4.5).

the limits are "consisting". if x goes to -infinity (all the way to the left), then y goes to -infinity too. and the same for +infinity.
