"Gravity" is a 2013 science fiction thriller film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, who also co-wrote, co-edited, and produced the film. It stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as American astronauts who are stranded in space after the mid-orbit destruction of their Space Shuttle, and attempt to return to Earth.
The film earned accolades from numerous critics and guilds. But after the destruction of a Russian satellite by a missile, a shower of debris is unleashed that completely destroys the Space Shuttle and kills all the crew, except for Ryan and Matt, who survive by being adrift in space. With few minutes of oxygen and barely 90 minutes before space debris hits them again, they will attempt to reach the International Space Station, to try to return to Earth in a Soyuz capsule
