Part 4: (5 pts) Identifying Compounds Now that you can write the names of compounds based on if they are covalent or ionic, please use the previous naming rules to identify if a compound is ionic or covalent based on it's name. 1. Fudgium Peaside (ionic/covalent) 2. Spinon Trisproutide (ionic/covalent) 3. Diucumbrium Pentasproutide (ionic/covalent) 4. Jellium Cornide (ionic/covalent) 5. Nougatium Monoturnipide (ionic/covalent)

.) Fudgium Peaside - Covalent (Both elements are non-metals and they form a molecule)

.) Spinon Trisproutide - Ionic (Spinon indicates a non-metal and Trisproutide indicates a polyatomic ion which has a metal and non-metal)

.) Diucumbrium Pentasproutide - Ionic (Diucumbrium indicates a metal and Pentasproutide indicates a polyatomic ion which has a metal and non-metal)

.) Jellium Cornide - Ionic (Jellium indicates a metal and Cornide indicates a non-metal)

.) Nougatium Monoturnipide - Ionic (Nougatium indicates a metal and Monoturnipide indicates a non-metal)
