The diagram representing the line AB and midpoint D is shown bel;ow.

Therefore, 16=2x+6.

$\begin{gathered} 2x=10 \\ x=5 \end{gathered}$

Then, the magnitude of AD will be,

$\begin{gathered} AD=(2*5)+6 \\ AD=16 \end{gathered}$

Therefore, the answer is 16.
