In my novel, the protagonist of the story is a 16 year old girl named Delaney, she is struggling to raise her little sisters. Delaney is a tough character, as shown by the quote ‘Although she was just sixteen years old, Delaney had spent much of them providing for her sisters. She displayed her toughness - and weariness - of someone twice her age. This quote tells us that although Delaney should be focusing on her life, she is more worried about the safety and well-being of her sisters, which tells us she is selfless and tough. It also states she displays the toughness of someone twice her age, which shows us she is very mature and has grown-up a lot quicker than other people, which will make her a lot tougher than others.
