Answer:

slope(m1)= -coeff.of x/coeff.of y

:.m1= -1/2

slope(m2)= -coeff.of x/coeff.of y

:.m2= -1/2

so it is parallel to each other......

on dividing both side of the second eqn by 6 you get

y+1/2x=2

so they are parallel to each other
