using the tangent and sine ratios in the right triangle and the exact values

tan30° =
(1)/(√(3) ) , sin30° =
(1)/(2) , then

sin30° =
(opposite)/(hypotenuse) =
(2)/(u) =
(1)/(2) ( cross- multiply )

u = 2 × 2 = 4

and

tan30° =
(opposite)/(adjacent) =
(2)/(v) =
(1)/(√(3) ) ( cross- multiply )

v = 2
√(3)
