Explanation:

Area of rectangle = width × length

= 10 × 15 = 150 cm²

The height of triangle = 14 - 10 = 4 cm

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × perpendicular height

= 1/2 × 5 × 4

= 10 cm²

Area of this figure = area of rectangle + area of triangle

= 150 + 10 = 160 cm²
