To solve for x, we will simply use the trigonometric ratio


\sin \theta=\frac{\text{opposite}}{\text{hypotenuse}}

From the figure given;

θ=24.3 opposite=2.06 and hypotenuse =x

substitute the values and evaluate


\sin 24.3=(2.06)/(x)

cross-multiply

x sin24.3 = 2.06

Divide both-side by sin24.3


x=(2.06)/(\sin 24.3)
x\approx5.0
