a probability is always the ratio

desired cases / totally possible cases

part A)

the table shows that in 10 attempts

Blue was hit 5 times

Yellow was hit 2 times

Green was hit 2 times

Purple was hit 1 time

so the experimental probabilities are

Blue 5/10 = 1/2 = 0.5

Yellow 2/10 = 1/5 = 0.2

Green 2/10 = 1/5 = 0.2

Purple 1/10 = 0.1

part B)

the theoretical probability of Purple with an equally spaced spinner of 4 colors is 1/4 = 0.25
