(y1 - y2)/(x1 - x2)

the points is (6,1) and (-6,-5)

therefore


(1 - ( - 5))/(6 - ( - 6)) \\ = (1 + 5)/(6 + 6) \\ = (6)/(12) \\ = (1)/(2)

therefore the slope of the line is 1/2
