We know the equation
y=-1.4x+117.8 will produce the result for y, the typing speed. If x is the age in years, and you are 25 years old, then all you have to do is substitute 25 into the equation.


y=-1.4(25)+117.8

Evaluate


y=-35+117.8


y=82.8

Your typing speed is 82.8 WPM.
