The Red and White Armies fought the Russian Civil War. The Red Army fought for the Lenin's Bolshevik government while The White Army represented a group of allied forces such as monarchists, capitalists and supporters of democratic socialism.

The Russian Civil War or Russian Revolution was fought mainly between the Red Army and the White Army. The Red Army fought for Vladimir Lenin’s Bolshevik socialist government. The White Army were a politically-diverse coalition of anti-Bolsheviks and favored monarchy, capitalism, or social democracy.
