hello

to solve this question, we should let the unknown number be represented by x

\begin{gathered} x+2x=33 \\ 3x=33 \\ \text{divide both sides by the coefficient of x} \\ (3x)/(3)=(33)/(3) \\ x=11 \end{gathered}

the first number (x) is equal to 11, we can find the other number.

2x=2*11=22

from the calculations above, the numbers are 11 and 22
