How do specialized cells help a multicellular organism survive

D. Many of the body’s cells are specific, in order to limit every cell needing exactly the same organelles, which would be inefficient. Other cells, such as part of the immune system, are only produced in mass as needed.

Answer: I think D

You need different types of cells so you could do multiple things. If you only had one cell, you could only do one thing. But you need multiple cells so you could survive.
