\frac{ {38}^(2) - {22}^(2) }{16} \\

The identity which can be used in this case is :

\boxed{ {a}^(2) - {b}^(2) = (a - b)(a + b)}

Applying the above identity to the given equation , we get

\frac{ {38}^(2) - {22}^(2) }{16} \\ \\ \implies \: ((38 - 22)(38 + 22))/(16) \\ \\ \implies \: \frac{(\cancel{16})(60)}{\cancel{16} } \\ \\ \implies \: \underline{\underline{60}}

hope helpful! :)
