Answer: 120-x

Explanation:

So for how many grams of 25% syrup it will be 120-x because the some amount + x = 120 grams of 15% syrup

so 120-x = the some amount of syrup.

This will be the answer for the problem you were asking for

If you have 6 parts keep scrolling since I will supply some more answers

Next part: How much pure sugar is in the 25% syrup?

For the amount of pure sugar there is in the 25% syrup

that will equal 0.25(120-x) = 30-0.25x

Next: How much sugar is in 120 grams of 15% sugar syrup?

10% of 120 is 12

5% = 12/2 = 6

12+6 = 18

Now the earlier stuff from the problem will come in handy

use the previous answers to write an equation

0.25(120-x)+0.10x=18

= 30-0.25x+0.10x=18

30 -0.15x=18

Now the final part to solve the equation and find the 10% solution and the 25% solution

-0.15x=18-30 = -12

-0.15x=-12

x= -12/-0.15

x=80

the problems not done yet though

we need to find the 25% solution

25% solution = 120-x and x = 80

120-80 = 40

The 10% solution is 80 grams and the 25% solution is 40 grams
