The slope of the line is,


m=(d-b)/(c-a)

Substitute the given values in the above expression.


\begin{gathered} m=(-5-(-1))/(4-(-1)) \\ =(-5+1)/(4+1) \\ =(-4)/(5) \\ =-(4)/(5) \end{gathered}

Thus, the slope of the given line is -4/5.
